Hello friends! I’m currently on vacation in disgustingly hot and sunny Orlando. I suppose it’s fitting that I review some sunglasses while I’m here since there aren’t many better places to put them to the test.

Every road trip needs a pair of sunglasses.

I had a few specific demands from Shady Rays:

Test #1: Not annoying or uncomfortable around my ears when wearing a ball cap. ✅

Test #2: No fogging up in the middle of a hot run. ✅ ✅

Test #3: Don’t burn my face off after sitting in my hot car all day. ✅✅✅

Test #3 is especially important to me. I’ve had sunglasses get downright painful on me when I throw them on after work.

I really like the variety of colors and styles that Shady Rays have available as well. The clear color that I received is pretty awesome. Maybe I won’t have any tan lines hehe.

One thing that matters is durability. Sunglasses often take a beating, especially when you have kids. My Shady Rays have held up so far, but with their “Live Hard” warranty there’s piece of mind. You can get a replacement pair if you lose/break them for just the price of shipping. If there are craftsmanship issues, Shady Rays works to make that right at no cost to the customer.

There are a lot of choices for sunglasses these days, but Shady Rays definitely sweetens the pot with their warranty.

Right now, they are sweetening the pot a little more with a discount code: Use RAVE50 for 50% off of 2 or more items!

  1. I’m going to have to get some good sunnies to run in, I never really wear sunglasses for running and I know that is bad and breaking some sort of rule lol. Everyone around here wears Goodr glasses. I like them because they have crazy names and they’re real flashy and crazy looking. lol

    1. I never used to run in sunglasses either and I’d still rather not, but if the sun is fully out I do it.

Goodrs are pretty great, but I didn’t like running in them all that much. I have some for fashion purposes. 😀
