Hey hey hey! It's a Monday kind of Tuesday and there two ways of looking at it. If you're busy, you have less time to get everything done this week. If you're not busy, the weekend is closer than it seems! Every once in a while, I try out a product and review it as one of the perks of being a BibRave Pro. I'm happy to review products for a couple of reasons: 1. It's fun. 2. It's cool to find out what is available to boost our quality of life and enhance our active lifestyles and then keep my friends informed about it. I'm so helpful. 🙂
The holiday season is upon us and the time seems to be FLYING by! It's kinda sad when I don't seem to have enough time because it makes getting ready for Christmas more of a to-do list than something to enjoy. I'm hoping this weekend will have me on track so that I can take a little time to just be happy and not so Charlie Brown. (Clearly I started this post days ago, but I'm gonna leave it. I DID end up happy and not so Charlie Brown!) Of course I ALWAYS make time for running and often when I run there is music involved. Luckily, my good friends at Aftershokz and BibRave hooked me up with some headphones to try out and review.
I feel like I just posted (because I did), but this time around it's time for another product review! I'm especially excited about this one for a couple of reasons. First, I really loved version 1.0 of this product and second, Christmas is coming and I want to help you or the runners (or otherwise active/dirty people) in your lives get a gift that they'll be happy with! I bought my first Orange Mud Transition Wrap a couple of years ago, when I first found out about them. I'm an especially sweaty and sometimes stinky runner and the thought of having an item that would allow me to change out of my nasty gear wherever I may be AND keep my sweaty butt off of my car seat. Trust me, you run and have a car for long enough and it WILL start to smell like you. Permastank.
I probably run with something on my head for 9 out of 10 runs these days. It's part of my emsemble. So, when asked if I wanted to test out and review a new material, I jumped on it! Enter BUFF® CoolNet UV+®
Hello friends! I'm currently on vacation in disgustingly hot and sunny Orlando. I suppose it's fitting that I review some sunglasses while I'm here since there aren't many better places to put them to the test.
Hello, hello, helloooooooo. It's time for another product review! This time around, I got the opportunity to try some Turtle Gloves Turtle Flip Mittens. There's a backstory for this one. Last month, I lost (or misplaced) one of my gloves that I normally run in. With an upcoming 5:30am run on what was the coldest day of the year, I made an emergency run to find new gloves. I wanted mittens, specifically convertible mittens, but at 9:00pm beggars can't be choosers. Sooooooo, I got more gloves. Two days later (of course), I found the missing glove. That gave me 2 pairs of gloves! Shortly after that, I received word that I'd have some Turtle Gloves coming my way. My glove runneth over. Timing is everything. Even with plenty of gloves available to me, I still got pretty excited to try these out!
Good morning! For me, it's one of those Mondays that really just kind of connects to my last Friday. I feel like I never really had a weekend. It's weird and annoying when that happens, but we shall power through. As a BibRave Pro, I've tested ALL kinds of things! I've tested shoes, earphones, headwear, food, drinks and even pillows! Today's review involves a word that makes most runners cringe....the TREADMILL. The treadmill can be great for many things. I've said plenty about why I do like it once in a while (like this Tweet). That being said, it can get BORING. We're mostly looking for ways to kill time while we're on it. Zwift might just have one.
It's Wednesday, but it's Friday! I've been singing Christmas songs all day long. It's a happy time around the house and around the office. I'm a couple of pounds up, thanks to less running and more cookies (thank you, Brooke). This month, I had the opportunity to try out the Fire 250 RX Chest/Waist light from Nathan. Lights are kind of a big deal this time of year, since the sun takes a break at around 5pm and doesn't come up until I don't know when. I've used headlights and lights that you carry, but never a light that straps to your chest or waist.
It's time for another product review. This time around, I'm reviewing the Bedgear Galaxy 2.0 performance pillow. Why do I care about pillows? The older that I get, the more I realize that sleep matters. It matters a LOT. I asked an elite runner what the most important part of training that isn't running is, and his response was sleep. I haven't exactly been great at this. 8 hours of sleep a night is the target, but I probably average somewhere around 6 to 6.5. My thinking is, if you can't get the quantity that you'd like, you better get the quality.
Happy Friday, everyone! As you know if you've read my blog before, I run in a LOT of shoes. I think it's important to have a steady rotation for injury prevention and to keep things interesting (you can read about it here, if you want to). I don't generally review all of the shoes that …
