Happy Friday! I spent this morning putting in a few miles on the treadmill and then lifting some things. One mile was on the manual treadmill. Those things are TOUGH. The next two miles were on a "regular" treadmill and by comparison, I felt like I was running on air. I ran a 6:40 last half mile like it was nothing. That's fun. 🙂 Well, I started writing this last Friday, but here we are. Let's see....Where was I? Oh yes! I was about to get into the fact that warmer runs are upon us and suddenly hydration is back to being pretty important. There are SO many options out there, and now I've tried another one and have plenty to say about it.
Hello! I feel like it's been a long time since I wrote ANYTHING. Sorry for the slack. Summer is mostly gone, but we still have so many bright days ahead. Here I am to review some Knockaround shades! This isn't my first experience with Knockarounds (see here). I tested the Premiums a couple of years ago and was a pretty big fan. A LOT can happen in a couple of years and I'm happy to say that the Sports have a lot to offer.
Hey hey hey! It's a Monday kind of Tuesday and there two ways of looking at it. If you're busy, you have less time to get everything done this week. If you're not busy, the weekend is closer than it seems!
Every once in a while, I try out a product and review it as one of the perks of being a BibRave Pro. I'm happy to review products for a couple of reasons: 1. It's fun. 2. It's cool to find out what is available to boost our quality of life and enhance our active lifestyles and then keep my friends informed about it. I'm so helpful. 🙂
Hello friends! I'm still in the middle of my "do whatever I want" phase of running, where I don't have any major races coming up. I might not ever leave this time haha. This morning I ran 8 miles with some speedy ones in between, just cause.
Although my running isn't ramping up, I feel like my product reviews are! I just had the opportunity to try out another BUFF®. I have quite a history with them that goes back to when I got my very first one as a BibRave Pro. I like their practicality for sure when it comes to cooling/warmth/keeping sweat out of your eyes, or whatever is needed. I also like having SO many options as far as colors and types!
I'll admit that I like to look a certain way when I run. It builds confidence to perform well. There's a reason that Rocky wore those red, white and blue trunks (well technically he wore them because of Apollo Creed, but you get it). BUFFs have really become my thing.
I feel like I just posted (because I did), but this time around it's time for another product review! I'm especially excited about this one for a couple of reasons. First, I really loved version 1.0 of this product and second, Christmas is coming and I want to help you or the runners (or otherwise active/dirty people) in your lives get a gift that they'll be happy with!
I bought my first Orange Mud Transition Wrap a couple of years ago, when I first found out about them. I'm an especially sweaty and sometimes stinky runner and the thought of having an item that would allow me to change out of my nasty gear wherever I may be AND keep my sweaty butt off of my car seat. Trust me, you run and have a car for long enough and it WILL start to smell like you. Permastank.
Hello and happy Tempo Thursday to you, my friends. I'm in the middle of another summer-ish week of running that has had its good days and its bad ones, but they'll be more about that later. Today I'm focusing on a product review, because trying things is awesome.
Nuun Rest is a Nutrient-Rich, Relaxation & Recovery drink tablet (you get 10 per tube). It's enhanced with magnesium, tart cherry extract and potassium, which promote a more restful night of sleep. Mix with 4-6 oz. of hot or cold water and enjoy. I personally think it's meant to be hot.
I probably run with something on my head for 9 out of 10 runs these days. It's part of my emsemble. So, when asked if I wanted to test out and review a new material, I jumped on it! Enter BUFF® CoolNet UV+®
It's Wednesday, but it's Friday! I've been singing Christmas songs all day long. It's a happy time around the house and around the office. I'm a couple of pounds up, thanks to less running and more cookies (thank you, Brooke).
This month, I had the opportunity to try out the Fire 250 RX Chest/Waist light from Nathan. Lights are kind of a big deal this time of year, since the sun takes a break at around 5pm and doesn't come up until I don't know when. I've used headlights and lights that you carry, but never a light that straps to your chest or waist.
Happy Monday to you (or at least not super crappy)! I had one of those weekends where I blinked and was back at work this morning. That'll happen. On a good note, I RAN 13 PAIN-FREE MILES yesterday! They weren't REALLY pain free, but they were only the "regular" pains of a long run. There will be more to follow on that, but for now it's product review time!
This time around I tried out a supplement called BCAA Big 6 (grape AND watermelon), made by a company called Now Foods. What are BCAAs, you ask? Good question. Before I was given the opportunity to try them, I had no idea.
Hey hey hey! Seems like it's been a while since I chimed in with anything. I still need to recap last week's marathon training (or what's left of it), but first it's time for a product review!
