Ahoy hoy! It’s Thursday for most, but Friday for some (like me!). I should have posted this a few weeks back, but I didn’t think about it until now. It’s not a running related post or a product review. It’s to let you know about a program that I’ve been participating in over the last month called “Mustaches 4 Kids“.
M4K Lynchburg improves the quality of life for local children through individual fundraising, partnering with local charities and businesses, and having a little bit of fun with facial hair.
I was invited to join the cause this year and I was super excited for multiple reasons. I’d never grown a mustache before. I get to help kids! Sounds good to me 🙂
Money raised goes to several local organizations that benefit kids (their info is here
), and the great news is that ALL of the money goes to them. That’s good news these days, since often times there can be a lot of overhead expense to charitable organizations. For the last month or so, I’ve worked vigorously to grow out the beautiful mustache that you see today haha.
Many have told me to keep rockin’ this stache. Many more have begged me to get rid of it. As of now, I’ve raised just over $800 of my goal of $1,000. I’m looking for all the help I can get. Can I count on you?
