2018 Race Plans – The Indy Mini

Disclaimer: I received a free entry to the 2018 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon in Indianapolis as part of being a BibRave Pro. Learn more about becoming a BibRave Pro (ambassador), and check out BibRave.com to review find and write race reviews!

My 2018 race plans are starting to come together. This will be my first full year as a BibRave Pro, so things will be a bit different. I’m going to branch out a bit and try new races. I’m looking forward to running new races and meeting new people. I’ll tell you that from what I can tell, the BibRave community is full of great people and great friendships, and they seem to know how to have fun!

I have several reasons to be excited about this one. I have friends that have run the race and their times were more than impressive. I’m going to try and finally break that 1:30 mark. It’s the nation’s 2nd largest half marathon, so I’ll have plenty of people to run and celebrate with. Speaking of celebrating, the race date is Cinco de Mayo, so there’s a great excuse to dive into some margaritas. We get to run on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! And then there’s MEB!!! I’d love an opportunity to meet any Boston Marathon winner and Meb is just that.

I’m already working to recruit my friends that ran the Indy Mini (cool name) last year to go back again for another round. I think they’re coming with me. Anybody else want to join up? If you’re thinking about it, here’s one more piece of motivation…how about a discount code?

Use code BRP2018 for $5 off.

I really hope to see you there. If you’re going, let me know and maybe the first margarita will be on me 😉
